  Sweetwater® Air Diffusers

Commonly known as air stones, Sweetwater Air Diffusers are the highest quality ceramic-type diffusers on the market today. They are machined from a solid block of glass-bonded silica. Because dust and dirt particles up to 30 microns in size will pass right through these diffusers, no expensive air filters are required. And when they do clog up from calcium precipitate or bacteria, cleaning with an acid bath is simple (ask how) 

They are as close to the "perfect" air diffuser as can be.  .
